Our collection of Jusilyn silk wedding veils is the cream of the crop. Jusilyn is a silk blend fabric made to resemble jusi, the gorgeous piña fabric traditionally used to make the Philippines' national costume.
Unlike traditional jusi fabric, jusilyn is more opaque and evenly textured, but still has the elegant translucent streaks characteristic of the beloved piña fabric.
We’ve sourced our jusilyn veils from traditional artisans in Luzon, who’ve added delicate floral embroidery in off-white thread and scalloped edging, lending an elevated Filipiniana elegance to your wedding ceremony.
Wondering how this compares to our other unity veils? The Jusilyn silk veil is still delicate and lightweight like the rest, but thicker and more textured. It makes the perfect family heirloom.
We recommend letting your veil air out a few days before your wedding ceremony to allow for the fabric to loosen and folds to smooth out.
The Filipino wedding unity veil (or Couple Veil) is a traditional element of Filipino Catholic weddings. The Veil is draped over the couple's shoulders to represent God's protection (Catholic ceremonies) or the love of friends and family. The Veil symbolizes the couple's togetherness, now facing the world as one.
In traditional Filipino weddings, the Veil Sponsors drape the veil onto the married couple, pinning each end onto either the bride's veil, dress, or suit near or at shoulder height. The Unity Cord is then placed over the Veil. Read more on Filipino Wedding Traditions

To keep your wedding veil smooth and elegant for your special day:
1. Hang It Up
A few days before your event, hang your veil in a cool, dry place. Let gravity naturally ease out the folds and creases.
2. Steam Gently (Optional)
For quicker results, use a handheld steamer on the lowest setting. Hold it a few inches away and move in gentle, sweeping motions. You can also hang the veil in a steamy bathroom to relax the fabric naturally.
3. Iron With Care (If Needed)
If wrinkles remain, use an iron on low heat with a thin pressing cloth placed over the veil. Avoid direct heat to protect the delicate fabric and embroidery.
Tip: Always handle your veil with clean, dry hands and avoid high heat to keep it pristine.
