Sharp, sleek, and unapologetically bold.
This rectangular hair clip mirrors the iconic Capiz window—a symbol of how history has shaped Filipino identity. Its geometric silhouette plays with light and shadow, a subtle nod to the artistry of the people who made it, guided by a deep respect for natural materials.
A wearable piece of culture, it’s a small act of remembering, celebrating, and branching out from your roots.
About the craftmanship
These Capiz pieces showcase the remarkable mastery of Negros artisans, whose 15–25 years of experience and deep knowledge of natural materials make each creation possible. The Capiz shells are first meticulously cleaned, then carefully roasted to dry and brighten their color—the longer the roast, the warmer the hue—before being shaped into geometric window silhouettes. This intricate process, combined with the use of lightweight Hagnaya vine, allows the Capiz pieces to maintain both elegance and durability. Each design reflects a meaningful collaboration with designer Mia, celebrating Filipino culture and history while transforming it into contemporary, wearable art.
